The American Enterprise Institute is launching a brand new summer institute for as many as 25 young government, public policy, business and media professionals as a way to:
...identify and develop the next generation of leaders who share our commitment to free enterprise, individual liberty, and a strong national defense.
The Summer Institute will assemble a select group of Washington's top young professionals to learn from distinguished scholars, policymakers, and authors; to explore and debate ideas about liberty and free enterprise; and to build their network with other accomplished professionals.
Talk the politics of The Godfather with Robert Kagan. Take a staff ride to the Gettysburg battlefield to study military leadership, decision making, tactics, and strategy with AEI scholar Gary Schmitt.
And have evening discussion with Jonah Goldberg author of Liberal Fascism and National Review editor-at-large as well as former Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen. Other evenings will be spent with Charles Murray, Arthur C. Brooks, and Thomas Donnelly.
For the full schedule and application details, visit the AEI 2010 American Enterprise Summer Institute page here.
